Increasing capabilities of mobile devices, along with the deployment of new mobile communications networks are leading to a growing demand on mobile applications. These mobile applications must interact with their company's business processes, which require heterogeneous architectural structures. In this context, conventional service-oriented architectures have become common and well-known. But they lack of some advantages of multi-agent systems and, in addition, require a complex deployment process. In this paper we present a practical experience in the implementation of a SOA model, and a proposed methodology for migrating it to a flexible and open multi-agent system.
