Abstract
Biomedicine pushes research on robotic plants to operate at nanometric scale. Foreseen stations are fairly complex because of number of components and stringent operation requirements, and yet not well-defined. In this paper, a multi-agent architecture for one such plant is presented so to cope with system dimension and evolution. It is described through an actual station with several atomic force microscopy probes for which several characterization processes are devised.
